Darker evenings, cooler temperatures, and the leaves changing to golden brown can only mean that autumn is here, and with the new season comes new interior design trends.

Gotham Mag reports that UK company Online Mortgage Advisor has analysed the emerging interior design trends on Pinterest to find the most popular interior decor ideas and home concepts to find the most popular this season.

We have a look at some of our favourites:

 

  1. Nature-inspired décor

Nature-inspired interiors are set to be the most popular trend for autumn 2021, according to the study.

To try this theme for yourself, use natural fabrics and materials, organic shapes, and a neutral colour palette. But don’t forget to add plenty of plants to bring the outdoors in!

 

  1. Classic contemporary décor

This trend mixes classic designs with modern touches, creates a timeless and sophisticated look. Think about pairing classical architectural features with modern elements such as marble, tiles, and maximalist wallpaper to get the look for yourself.

 

  1. Dark green décor

From olive green to dark forest green, darker hues of green are one of the most on-trend colours for 2021. Green promotes a sense of connection with nature, which also happens to be among the most popular interior design trends this autumn on Pinterest.

 

  1. Shaped furniture

A modern take on 1960s decor, shaped furniture is set to be massive this autumn. Think about adding a variety of curved and geometric shapes into your decor, such as on a small scale through vases or art, or on a larger scale through curved pieces of furniture, like tables, cabinets, sofas or even bathroom suites.

 

  1. Reading corners

The colder months are all about creating warm and cosy environments to relax in, making it no surprise that cosy reading nooks are set to be big.

To create a cosy reading corner in your home this autumn, locate a quiet spot in your home and invest in an elegant side table and a new lamp for some soft atmospheric lighting, as well as a comfortable armchair.

“Thomas of Patrick Thomas construction was employed along with his Company by our surveyor who we asked to manage the rebuild of my mothers house after is was destroyed by fire, from the. first pre-contact meeting, I took to Thomas calming attitude of nothing really phases him and everything is achievable.

He worked with my 80 year old mothers demands of her style, he would listen carefully and then manage to guide her to a more modern approach and layout and still give here the look she wanted and was use to. He helped her rebuild the love for her home after fire and she felt like the decades of memorys hadn’t been destroyed, my mother is a very formal lady but she felt very relaxed and at ease with Thomas.
